Lauren and Kristen came down to visit today. They offered to babysit for us for whatever we wanted to do. What a great treat!! We went out to lunch and then worked around the house a bit while they kept Sean occupied.
We had a great long weekend. Mark was home all weekend and we got a tons done around the house. We tiled the backsplash in the kitchen and completely organized our basement (which if you've seen our basement is quite an achievement).
we went back and forth to Lowes several times............
Then on Monday decided to take Sean sledding since the snow had finally stopped. Sean practiced in the house before we went outside
Sean has been walking all over the place. Its still a very careful, wobbly walk. In fact he almost looks like Frankenstein . To top it off he's always groaning and grunting so it completes the image. Of course he's adorable so nothing like a monster in that sense.
Make sure you turn up the sound when you play this video.
I haven't been online in a really long time...........Lots to catch up on. We had a great Christmas with Sean. He doesn't really get the whole concept but the wrapping paper on the presents and all the new toys were still very entertaining for him. We spent Christmas Eve at my aunt Beth's house then Christmas day at my parents. Then Saturday we flew to Colorado to spend some time with Mark's parents. Sean was wonderful on both flights. Each time he was a little fussy just before he fell asleep but once he did he was out for the entire flight. We got compliments from the other passengers around us about how great he was and how nervous they were when they first saw us on the plane. Each flight was more than 3 and 1/2 hours so completely understandable that they would be nervous. Prior to Sean I always cringed when I saw someone walk onto a plane I was on with a little baby. But, he was great!!! Here's a little recap of our Christmas Celebrations:
Christmas Eve at Beth's
Christmas Morning at my parents
Mark took Sean sledding for the first time in Colorado.
Then we also took Sean to the community center near Mark's parents house in the mountains. They had a great kiddie pool area with a Whale slide that Sean loved.
