First Haircut

I've needed to get Sean's haircut for awhile now but have been putting it off. So I finally made an apt at a children's salon and decided it was finally time.

Here's a before shot........

We got to the salon and at first everything was great. All of the chairs had fun cars as the seats. Sean thought it was great and immediately starting playing with the steering wheel and watching the other kids.

The hairdresser came over and put the smock on him and that's when things started to go downhill. He was still fine but just a little cautious. He wasn't sure exactly what was about to happen.
Then the Hairdresser started to cut the back of his head and it was all over. He did not like having his hair cut and started to cry and scream. It was just as bad as if we were giving him shots.

When it was all over we got a little certificate saying he made it through his first haircut and we saved a pieces of his hair for the baby book.

Here's what he looks like now.....pretty handsome I'd have to say. Oh and the minute we got back in the car he was all smiles again!!!

My Tummy

Over the past couple of weeks Sean has started wanting to touch my belly all the time. Its almost like a security blanket for him. Whenever he's tired, shy, any time that he needs comfort he finds me and trys to lift up my shirt. It can get a little embarassing in public when Sean is trying to stick his hand up my shirt. This all started around the time that I found out that we were expecting #2. Maybe Sean knows that something is going on...................

Sean and Naomi

I haven't posted in awhile. Been very busy. Last week, or maybe it was the week before Sean and I took care of Naomi while her mom had an apointment. Below are some pictures. The play together very well. I think Sean was thrilled to have another little one at the house. Keeping my fingers crossed he'll still feel that way in August!!!

Sean kept petting Naomi's head......He seemed to think it was really funny. Luckily Naomi didn't seem to mind.

A couple of weeks ago we had some family pictures taken. Figured we should have them done before Mark has to leave and before the new baby arrives!!

Michelle Amarante did the photos for us. http://michelleamarante.com/. She was great and I think the photos came out really good.

Here's a sampling of a couple from her blog. I'll post more once we get the full CD of images.

Happy Superbowl Sunday

Picture is a little blury but just too cute not to post...............

Stay and Play Cafe

Saturday Mark and I took Sean to the Stay and Play Cafe in Old Saybrook. Its a great place where parents can get a cup of coffee or tea and the kids can run off their excess energy in their indoor gym all for only $5.00 per kid. For $5.00 you can stay all day if you like. Sean is one of the younger kids, the age range is from birth to age six. He's fascinated by the big kids so that alone can keep him occupied for hours but he also really loves the train set. I'd say that is his favorite part.
Do you see the other kid in this picture??? That's Sean's very first Bully!!! He's four years old and didn't have a parent in sight anywhere. Sean and he were both playing nicely with the trains but the 4yr old decided that he wanted all the trains. He took the ones the Sean had in his hands and Sean immediately tried to take them back. Next thing I know the 4yr pushed poor little Sean to the ground because he was mad that he took his trains. It was all I could do to hold Mark back from strangling the kid.........We moved on to other toys at that point.
